GENERAL QUESTIONS

Q. Have you made any films other than the ones advertised?
A. We only have the three titles and do not currently plan to produce any more.
 
Q. Does Don Clark still provide tutoring services?
A. Don no longer does private tutoring, but is still on hand to answer any questions relating to the videos.  Please refer to our contact us web page.
 
Q. Will I need to purchase your course notes?
A. Our course notes were produced to be used in conjunction with the videos and DVDs.  They contain scaled down versions of all the drafts and hold all the vital information shown on the film in written form.  They are a useful point of reference in situations where a video or DVD player isn't available.
 
Q.  Do I require a licence to play your DVDs or Videos in a public performance or in a school, college or university?
A. Yes, all our DVDs, Videos, Course Notes and Block patterns are protected by international copyright laws.  They are intended for personal use only.  We do understand that our films provide excellent learning material for students and company employees in the fashion industry, so we have  public broadcast licences available.  For more information please check our Copyright Page.
 
Q.  Why do you charge a fee for your public broadcast licences?
A.  Vast amounts of time, thought and expense went in to producing our products.  We as a company are selling the information contained within the various medias which are for sale on this website.  We charge a small five year fee to employers, schools, colleges and universities who wish to show our work to their employees or students.  For more information please check our Products Page.
 
Q.  What happens if I wish to return my order?
A.  Under the Distance Selling Regulations, you the customer, have the right to a 7 working day cooling off period following any internet purchase.  To return goods you MUST inform us in writing, email or post your intentions within this period.  All items must be returned unopened and in their original condition.  You, the customer is responsible for this and for the cost of postage.  Once items are returned, you will be refunded the product cost only.  Postal costs cannot be refunded.  For more information please check our Terms And Conditions.
 
Q.  I have no experience of the pattern trade at all,  are your courses suitable for me?
A.   Vast amounts of time have been spent making our courses user friendly, each filmed with the beginner in mind.  Courses become more advanced as the program progresses.
 
Q.  Are there any benefits from learning from a DVD or Video?
A.  High levels of concentration generally last about 10 minutes, after that, the brain can miss vital information.  With this form of media, it can be played back at the exact spot required.
 
Q.  Is there a list of tools that I will require?
A.  A ruled set-square, pencil, eraser, metre rule, pattern notchers, tracing wheel, pattern shears, tailor's dummy (or a ready made basic block pattern).
 
 

PAYMENT QUESTIONS

Q.  I don't actually have a PayPal account.  Can I still make a purchase?
A.  Yes, PayPal process all our online payments.  If you don't have a PayPal account, you can pay by credit/debit card or bank transfer.  All online payments are dealt with by PayPal who have over 150 million customers worldwide and provide a huge range of security measures.
 
Q.  Do you accept any other forms of payment?
A.  Yes, you are more than welcome to make payment by cheque, postal order, building society cheque or bankers draft.  Use the online shopping basket as normal, but amend the payment method to 'cheque/postal order' before the final checkout.  This will then provide you with a completed order form to be printed and sent with your cheque.  Please send order and cheque to the address on our Contact Us page.
 
Q. All your prices are stated in pound sterling (UK Currency).  I'm not from the UK! how will this work?
A. All payments are processed in Pound Sterling (£). If you are paying by PayPal, credit or debit card, your order will be invoiced in pounds sterling (£).  Please be aware that your credit/debit card company may charge a small conversion fee if you bank outside the UK.  Please check with your card company for details.
 
Q. Can I order over the telephone?
A. At present only orders paid for by cheque or postal order can be accepted over the phone, but items cannot be dispatched until payment is received.
 
Q. Can I send cash as payment?
A. Although we do accept this method of payment we cannot be held responsible for any cash lost in the post.
 
Q.  Do you accept payments in the form of purchase orders from colleges & Universities?
A.  For colleges and universities within the UK only are granted 30 days credit.  Goods will be despatched once a valid purchase order is received.  Colleges and universities outside of the UK will be required to pay pro-former invoice.
 
 

POSTAGE QUESTIONS

Q. How long will I have to wait from my order to arrive?
A. All our orders are sent via Royal Mail.  Items are posted from the UK within 2 working days of your order being received.  UK destinations usually arrive within two working days.  European destinations: four working days worldwide destinations: approximately seven working days.
 
Q. What happens if my order does not arrive?
A.  In the unlikely events that your parcel hasn't arrived within two weeks of you placing your order, please contact us by email from the contact us web page.  All items are sent via recorded delivery so parcel-tracking information is at hand.
 
Q.  Why is there no mention of postal/shipping prices on your website?
A.  Our postal prices are calculated on a total weight basis.  This gives you, the customer, the lowest and fairest possible price.  The postal/shipping fee is calculated in the shopping cart section once you add your items.

PLAYABILITY QUESTIONS

Q.  Will your DVDs and VHS Videos play in other countries apart from the United Kingdom?
A.  Yes, our DVDs and VHS Videos are produced both in PAL (European) & NTSC (American) Formats.
 
Q.  What happens if the DVD doesn't work?
A.  In this unlikely event, you will need to make written contact with us by post or email within seven working days and we will then advise you.  To email us please use our    Contact Us Page.
